We have another warm, mostly sunny spring day ahead of us today! Sunshine and sunscreen have been the go-to combo for the past few days, and spring laps under blue skies are one of the better ways to spend a Tuesday. We expect a high of 48° today with mild southerly winds in the 10 to 13 MPH range. Start your day early to take advantage of the cooler temps in the morning before the snow softens in the late afternoon, and don’t forget the SPF!
Unfortunately, we had to make the call to close Lightning Ridge for the season yesterday. We hoped to run it through the end of the season on Sunday, but warm temps and its south-facing nature caused too much snow to melt for us to operate it safely. We enjoyed the first season of lift-accessed skiing on the Ridge, and we’re excited for next season!
Remember that during the final week of the season, we are running an altered operations plan. We will run Hidden Lake and Timberline through Closing Day, Sunday, April 20th. As temps climb in the afternoons, we will close Timberline at 2:00 PM. After 2:00 PM, all terrain will close except for Hidden Lake, which will operate until 4:00 PM. Focusing riders to this area will help provide the best skiing possible throughout our last week of operations!
Join us this week to take advantage of the final turns of the season while all other surrounding resorts are closed!
Please note, there is no uphill travel allowed in any closed areas of the resort.
