Warm weather prevails as we make our way through the week, and spring seems like it’s here to stay! We’re looking at another mostly sunny day today with a high of 53°, some of the warmest temperatures we’ve seen so far this season. Mild temperatures overnight only brought a slight refreeze, so we will see some soft conditions this morning. Head up early to catch the coolest part of the day and enjoy some incredible corn skiing before the sun softens the snowpack and shifts the surface to mashed potatoes.
Please note that we will close Paradise and the backside of Lightning Ridge at 1:00 PM this afternoon due to warm temperatures. Reducing late-day skier traffic in these areas will help us extend our remaining snowpack at lower elevations as springtime conditions set in! The rest of the mountain will remain open to enjoy through the end of the day, though, leaving plenty of terrain to explore.
If you haven’t heard, this Sunday, April 13th, is the Yeehaw Thaw! We’re bringing the Wild West slopeside with a pond skim, mechanical bull, bounce house, and six hours of live music. This Western-themed shindig will be the greatest event west of the Mississippi and send us into the rest of the season with high spirits and good vibes. Check out our event page to learn more, and we’ll see you on Sunday in your best Western wear!
Please note that Lefty's, Woody's World, and Powder Country are CLOSED for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
