Construction Catch Up - August 29th

Welcome back to Construction Catch Up – part 3 will provide an update of the progress made on the Timberline and Paradise lifts.

Timberline:

The new Timberline lift is progressing smoothly with Skytrac’s team. Foundations for the top and bottom terminals have been set, with steel assembled and the top terminal fully completed. In just one morning, a helicopter placed all the towers and cross arms. Next up is finishing the bottom terminal installation.

Paradise:

The Doppelmayr crew at Paradise has been busy excavating the new tower and terminal sites. With the area's rocky terrain, this has been no small task. The foundations for both the top and bottom terminals are in place, and the top terminal has been assembled. Next, they’ll set the concrete tower footings and install the bottom terminal.

The Process of Flying Towers:

First we staged the towers and cross arms in a flat area. Then we had Skytrac’s highly skilled helicopter pilot scoop up and place each piece accordingly. At each tower there is a team of lift installers to ensure each piece goes in just right. The helicopter crew completed all tower installs on Timberline in just 1 morning!
